Looking for a suitable villa for you to spend an unforgettable holiday in Chianti? You will find a wide range of luxury villas within the Cuendet brand. You can enjoy the unique landscape, with green, gentle hills clad in vineyards which are particularly enchanting as are its oak, chestnut and holm-oak forests.
Chianti is famous both for its scenery and for the fruits its land bears. The exquisite wine which is produced here, whose origins can be traced back to the Etruscan era, has indeed given this region its prestige and international reputation.
Just imagine the feeling of enjoying a glass of wine from your luxury villa in the Chianti region!
The Chianti area is protected by two important consortiums: the Consorzio del Vino Chianti Classico (the Chianti Classico wine consortium) and il Consorzio del Gallo Nero (the black rooster consortium) the latter deriving its name from the historical Lega del Chianti (Chianti league) founded in the 13th century by the towns of Castellina, Radda and Gaiole.
The beautiful Chianti hamlets often let you come face to face with fortified Medieval castles which bear witness to the ancient historical battles between Siena and Florence but Romanesque parish churches can be found on the gently rolling hills of this countryside too. From Greve travelling past acre after acre of vineyards and uncontaminated forests you will reach Radda in Chianti which was once the capital of the Chianti league as well as the watershed between the Pesa valley and that of the Arbia valley.
